We are so thrilled with the response to our new Athletes in Excellence award program! In just the three weeks since it was launched, we have received a number of nominations of athletes who consistently reach beyond their sport to create a positive impact in the world.
WHO WOULD YOU NOMINATE?
Do you know of an elite-level athlete who spends as much time improving their community through service as they do training for their sport? We want to recognize the game changers — those athletes who are solid role models for youth and believe in and create an atmosphere of positive sport — all the while applying those some principles to their community.
Anyone may nominate an athlete to win the “Athletes in Excellence” Award. Simply email your submission toawards@globalsportsdevelopment.org. All submissions must be received by August 31, 2014. In addition to award recognition, each award winner will receive a $10,000 grant. Learn more here.
