Award Winning Documentary Short “Munich ’72 and Beyond” Comes to Los Angeles for a Limited Engagement

“Munich ’72 and Beyond” will screen at Laemmle’s Music Hall November 3-9 at Noon daily.

“Munich ’72 and Beyond,” a documentary short from Sidewinder Films, will be screened in a limited engagement at Laemmle’s Music Hall, November 3-9 at 12 pm noon daily.

The screenings are open to the public, and advance ticket purchases are recommended. Tickets to the screenings at Laemmle’s Music Hall may be purchased at http://www.Laemmle.com for $7 or $6 for seniors.

An additional screening will be held on Thursday, November 9th in partnership with the Malibu Film Society at the Malibu Jewish Center & Synagogue. This free screening is also open to the public, but reservations are required and may be made through the Malibu Film Society’s website.

“Munich ’72 and Beyond” takes a deeper look into the killing of 11 Israeli athletes and coaches as a result of a Palestinian terrorist attack at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. The short documentary reveals alarming new evidence about the attack and subsequent events while also giving a voice to the family members whose lives were forever changed that day.

“Munich ’72 and Beyond” won Best Documentary at the 2016 LA Shorts Fest and was nominated in the “Outstanding Research” category for the 38th Annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards. The film also is presented by The Foundation for Global Sports Development and Crisman Films, directed by Stephen Crisman and produced by Dr. Steven Ungerleider and David Ulich, with Executive Producer Michael Cascio.
