GSD Has Pledged Over $500 Thousand to Support Youth and Educational Initiatives

Twenty-six domestic and international organizations will receive funding from The Foundation for Global Sports Development.

The Foundation for Global Sports Development (GSD) has pledged more than $500,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations that focus on improving the lives of underserved youth through sports programming, health care, and educational initiatives.

For the past 19 years, GSD has provided funding and guidance to organizations and athletes making a difference in communities around the world. In addition to their own youth programming, GSD frequently provides grants to nonprofits as part of their ongoing mission to deliver and support initiatives that promote fair play, education, and the physical and developmental benefits of sports for youth around the world.

“Year after year, we are inspired by these incredible programs that do so much to transform the lives of youth in underserved communities,” said GSD executive board member, Dr. Steven Ungerleider. “The continued existence of these youth programs is vital to the communities they serve.”

“Learning about the encouraging outcomes of the programs we support is the ultimate humbling experience” added David Ulich, executive board member of GSD. “It’s impossible to really gauge the magnitude of how many young lives are positively impacted and even transformed by their existence, and we are so pleased to be a part of that transformation.”

GSD is committed to continuously supporting the development and well-being of underserved youth. For a full list of grant recipients, click here.
